As the digital gateway to magical experiences, theme parks apps have become crucial for enhancing guest experiences. Sensor Tower's data on the top 5 theme parks apps in the United Kingdom for the first quarter of 2021 provides us with a glimpse into their performance.
Starting with My Disney Experience, we observed an upward revenue trend, starting at $25K in the last week of December and peaking at $43K by the end of March. Downloads saw a significant spike in mid-February, reaching nearly 1K, while weekly active users fluctuated, ending slightly lower at around 2K.
Disneyland® Paris also witnessed a revenue increase, with earnings ranging from $5K to $16K weekly. Downloads doubled from 195 to 455 in early March, indicating growing interest. Active users started at 3K and saw a gradual decrease to 2.3K by the quarter's end.
Universal Orlando Resort had no reported revenue, but its download numbers rose from 139 to over 400 in late February before stabilizing at around 300. Weekly active users saw a slight decline from 3.7K to 3K.
